Free Trade Union of Entrepreneurs of Ukraine (FTUEU), StreetNet affiliate, in cooperation with other branch organizations affiliated to the Confederation of Free Trade Unions of Ukraine (KVPU), participated in the events dedicated to the World Day for Decent Work (WDDW).

In addition to small entrepreneurs, representatives of railway workers, pilots, teachers, medical workers, miners, workers of public transportation and others got together in front of the building of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. People arrived from different regions of the country. All the workers collected a lot of hot issues to challenge the current government.

All workers are fully aware of the fact that currently for protection from Russian aggression, which is conducted under the guise of regional separatism in the Eastern Ukraine the country needs a sharp mobilization of resources for its defense. However, the speakers sharply criticized the “saving” policy of the government which lied down on the shoulders of the poor population. Trade union leaders and activists also emphasized on the wages arrears, persecution of trade unionists and other urgent problems.

Valentina Korobka, Chairwoman of the Free Trade Union of Entrepreneurs of Ukraine emotionally shared about the persecution of trade union activists, entrepreneurs, given the example of Oksana Kozlova (Trade union leader of the primary trade union of "New Torpedo Market", Lviv city). Honest entrepreneurs not only protect their personal and professional interests but also offer the state the ways of economic recovery and concrete steps to combat the shadow economy and powerful sources of filling the state budget due to the suppression of corruption mafia schemes of stealing money from the legal economy. But instead of support from government officials and security forces they receive cruel persecution.
