Week Activities for Decent Work Day, Lima – Peru

To celebrate Decent Work Day, the metropolitan municipality of Lima, the Ministry of Labour; International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Central Confederation of Workers of Peru (CUT – Peru), will hold activities within “the week for decent work, Lima” aiming to promote awareness with authorities, especially the local governments (municipalities) to promote and generate income and decent jobs for self-employed workers in the informal economy Peru. Activities to undertake:

October 03: Seminar “decent work and collective labour rights” (organized by SITENTEL CUT)
October 04: Installation of regional council of safety and health in Lima.
October 04: Discussion on Decent Work: “self/employment and local government action – district victory”
October 05: International Seminar on Decent Work
October 05: Discussion: Law and Social Justice for Decent Work; (sponsorship of Lawyers College of Peru)
October 06: Parade, Lima for Decent Work.
October 5th and 6th: Employment Great Fair

Regarding the parade, you can be part with your organisations holding banners, allegories, messages, etc., to contribute to the celebration for decent work.
Employment fair: you are required to bring copy of your id to access labour supply that 25 companies will offer which have an agreement with the city of Lima for Decent Work
Kindly disseminate these activities through your networks, programs and areas in which you work.
