Every year the world marks an International Day of Families. This Day is scheduled for May 15 and has chooses its own social topic. So, 2013’s theme was under the title “Advancing Social Integration and Intergenerational Solidarity”.

Xhidmat-ISH, StreetNet Affiliate from Azerbaijan, also marked this Day on May 15, 2013 while conducting a "round table" which was attended by some representatives of the Center “Healthy Family", national perfume company "Gazella groups", lawyers of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan (AHIK) and some amateur representatives from the Palace of Culture.

Around 40 trade union members participated in this event including the leadership and chairpersons of Commission on Gender Equality and Women Issues. The activists of student movements also were invited to the Round table.

One of the main objectives of the event was to draw public attention to the problems of the family, as well as emphasizes the importance of the family institution and solidarity between generations.
