KENASVIT Memorandum

KENASVIT has already conducted public processions in Nairobi, Machakos and today in Nakuru under Nakuru Street Traders and Hawkers Association (NASTHA) an affiliate of KENASVIT. We had combined forces with other civil society organizations led by Institute for policy and conflict Nairobi, Centre for Enhancement of Democracy and Good Governance (C.E.D.G.G), Bunge La Mwananchi central rift, I.D.P`s central Rift camps, Unga revolution movement. These are the allies who teamed up with us today.

We are planning to hold such peaceful processions in Kisumu under KITES ( Kisumu Informal Traders Economic Support), in Migori town MISVESTS (Migori Street Vendors and small Traders Society) in mombasa (MUSTA – Mombasa Urban Street Traders Alliance) and KITALE (KASVIT – Kitale Alliance of Street Vendors and Informal Traders)

KENASVIT is pushing for implementation of the Micro and Small Enterprise Bill which has been delayed for almost ten years due to government bureaucracy.
