I have the chance to represent the street vendors on the board of the market. The street vendors have many problems and are unsupported, even though they contribute a lot to the development of their countries. They have no rights. I have been in a trade union since 1992, and I know how to defend my rights, but there is still a lot to be done. We need to inform street vendors about their rights and help them reach institutions such as the Chamber of Commerce, so that workers in the informal economy can move into the formal economy.
