Rustenburg municipality fails in bid to remove the informal traders in Rustenburg from the streets

31 May 2010

WCCA Campaign organiser Paul Shambira reports that:

Rustenburg municipality has lost their bid to remove the informal traders in Rustenburg from the streets after the court told them that it was illegal.

The court order of 2007 bought by informal traders against municipality to stop their removal is still in force. For now it is business as usual for the traders but they have vowed to continue objecting against the FIFA regulations that prevent them from trading in exclusions zones.
