KENASVIT appeals to President to assent to MSE Bill

In spite of the MSE sub-sector being a major source of livelihood for a large majority especially for those living below the poverty line in Kenya, the government has for decades not managed to put in place an Act of Parliament geared towards the Development of the informal sub-sector.

By the President assenting to the MSE Bill, KENASVIT is optimistic that the informal traders are finally going to enjoy an enabling working environment. It will therefore require the joint efforts of all stakeholders to realize the intended benefits.

Towards this efforts,KENASVIT has released a press statement today appealing to the President to assent to the Micro and Small Enterprises Bill passed in Parliament on Wednesday,5th December 2012.
